About Us
Our Mission
The mission of the Family Liaison Project is to provide support, information and education for families of children with disabilities and the professionals who assist them. By offering support and factual information, the Project empowers families in assisting children to reach their full potential.
Working with Families to:
- Better understand the nature of their child's disability and their educational, developmtal and transitional needs
- Communicate effectively and work collaboratively with professionals
- Participate effectively in IEP and 504 meetings
- Build relationships with school staff for successful outcomes
- Understand the educational process by offering trainings and information on rights, responsibilities, and protections under IDEA
